AI-generated tracks tend to have unnaturally uniform frequency distribution, meaning the energy across the sound spectrum is spread almost too evenly — something that rarely happens with real instruments and voices, which are messier and more dynamic by nature. The detector also looks at things like phase coherence (how sound waves align across stereo channels) and micro-timing variations, which human performers naturally produce but AI models struggle to replicate convincingly. All of these signals get fed through a classification model trained on thousands of verified real and AI-generated tracks, which then scores how likely the audio is to be synthetic.
